Appointed is a non-partisan initiative that prepares and empowers community members to serve on civic boards and commissions. We offer training, resources, and connections to help individuals navigate the appointment process and assist elected officials in identifying qualified candidates.

The Women’s Fund offers various volunteer opportunities, through four committees directly impacting our work.
The Advocacy Committee researches policies, educates legislators and raises grassroots awareness for our work, as well as supports the Appointed program.
The Development Committee increases awareness and engagement as well as financial support of the Women's Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Support from the Development committee includes providing expertise and communication on how to better connect with our community, expanding the capacity and reach of the Women's Fund team, and bridging connections between the Women's Fund and potential supporters.
The Research Committee executes various research projects by scanning the national landscape for trends and studies that inform our work.
The Advocacy Committee increases the reach of the Women's Fund through identification and support of advocacy opportunities at the local and state levels within Ohio.
We accept new members to these committees on a once yearly basis.
